Sorry it's been so long, but I've been busy being sick and then made this quilt for a dear friend who is like my daughter. She is having triplet boys!!! We are SOOO excited. Her doc has her off work already and no standing for any length of time like doing dishes or cooking...soon she will probably be on complete bed rest, she is at 20 weeks (I think) and everyone is doing great so far.
Anyway... I figured I'd do something like Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Especially since her first son Mason had a Sailboat theme!
This is the first of the 3 quilts (actually it is just the top so far) I'm doing along with all the bibs, burprags and wipes I can make. I'm also gonna do some fleece buntings and some sleepsacks...but I have time for those. I want to make sure the quilts are done and at her shower come July 19.

Ever wish that videos actually went with the songs?
Well, here someone made the song go with the video. I looked around, there are many others, but none as funny as this one.

OOps
OK, seriously now...where is the month going?!
Let's see....where to start. I got my laptop replacement...a very nice Gateway. Worked great that first night...then, the touchpad only worked when it felt like it. Then, the cursor would eat letters and scramble its way across the text going from right to left. VERY weird. Then, the browser window I was working in would suddenly get small, then big again.
Finally, I called them up when the entire window flipped to sideways...and the screen doesn't turn!
The guy at the replacement place...seneca...was horribly rude to me. Cutting me off, not listening, and treating me like a child. A very small and confused child. Finally I had enough when he informed me that I had to pay shipping! See, THEY send me a screwed up machine...I have to fight for some decent customer service and get treated like doo doo...then I have to PAY them to send me another.
I called and reported the guys rudeness...unfortunately, nothing I can do about the shipping charges. I will be chatting with Circuit City customer service tho. THEY took my money for the protection plan, and a replacement was supposed to cost me NOTHING. UGH!
Noah saw the dentist...she said that it isn't unusual for kids to get a second row of teeth and the one the second tooth is replacing should fall out on its own in a couple/few months. If not, see her and she will pull it. Hmm. You'd think after 7 kids, 5 of whom have lost all their baby teeth and a few of them have their wisdom teeth...I'd know that. Nope! Shows me that there is always something to learn.
Simon keeps us laughing. He has horrible allergies and keeps getting styes in his eyes. So last week I had had enough of his sorry looking self looking like we punched him in the eye and tackled him to put some eyedrops in. He fought like a wet cat and finally, huffing and puffing, I was successful. I then told him he could put some drops in my eyes too, so he would feel better. I know, I know...I should have let him go first...but it didn't come to me that way.
So, I sit on the floor and lean my head back on the sofa while Daddy helps Simon drip the Visine in my eyes. Afterward, I gave a big sigh and thanked him profusely, raving about what a big boy he is and how much better my eyes felt (they really did!). Simon leans over and looks me in the face and all poker faced and serious says: "Mom, do you have itchy allergy eyes?" I thought I was going to lay an egg! 5 years old and he is ALWAYS coming up with stuff like this.
All for now. My dishwasher is on the fritz and I'm frazzled from washing all the dishes and pans. I hate handwashing. Gonna go sit and sew and be with my little men before they hit the hay.
Night!

Happy June Everyone!
Noah started his summer program today. Daddy dropped him off and said he had to fight the urge to go back and grab him back up. No familiar faces there and we get icky in the stomach in situations like that. It sucks to HAVE to trust someone, but to be so darn afraid of trusting. I SO wish Noah could talk!
In other news...
A few minutes ago, I was standing in the kitchen ironing my shirt and heard Zelda growling. Now, blowing leaves have been known to threaten our well being (according to Zelda anyways) so I didn't pay much mind. After a few minutes tho, I turned to tell her to quiet down...and there, standing about 20 feet from the side living room door/window, was a gorgeous doe. Munching on the leaves and honeysuckle along the drive. So awesome. We watched her for several minutes, laughing at her ears pricking up at each bark from Zel. Then she scampered off across the street.
I heard from the repair place about my laptop. It is being replaced. It will be a refurbished Gateway...marginally better than the Acer I had with double the harddrive and 3X the memory...but Gateways have issues. Hopefully I will get lucky and it will be a fine machine.
I want to get outside and take some pics today...but the temps are headed to the 90's. And I don't do well in the heat! I also want to get some pics of the Pincushion I finished made from some leftover fabric from my sewing room set I made myself in April. It was my first journey into the land of hexagons...and while the side seams are a bit wonky...I love it. Nice a big and stuffed just right. If I ever finish cleaning my craft/sewing room, I will get a picture of the entire ensemble!
All for now...just wanted to let ya'll know I'm still kickin here in Tennessee!
